Aravind Prasad
Postgraduate in Yogic Science | Yoga Philosophy & Tantra Practitioner | Spiritual Researcher | Teaching since 13 years
For Aravind Prasad, yoga is an ancient wisdom system designed for complete human transformation—integrating health, relationships, work, and spiritual wellbeing into a harmonious whole. Born into a family deeply engaged in spiritual practices, he absorbed yogic philosophy from an early age and began his asana practice in 2003. His dedication led him to complete a postgraduate degree in Yogic Science, including research on the Gayatri Mantra and its effects on the brain’s frontal and temporal lobes.
Teaching since 2012, Aravind blends traditional yoga and tantra teachings with a style that appeals to modern, logical minds. He often uses scriptural references to address rational and critical questions about yoga practice and philosophy, making ancient wisdom accessible and relevant today.
A life-changing accident shifted his journey from purely physical practice to a more expansive exploration of yoga as a way of living. This experience deepened his commitment to embody yoga “as” life rather than having yoga “in” life. Inclusive in his approach, Aravind honors creative, contemporary methods of practice as long as they remain rooted in the scriptural essence and purpose of yoga.
