Rules & Regulations

Dear Student/Guest/Participant,

Namaste!

We kindly request you to familiarize yourself with our comprehensive set of boundaries, policies, and guidelines. This ensures that we can establish a harmonious and respectful environment for all students who entrust us with their belief and enthusiasm for beginning their yoga path.

At Kashish Yoga, we firmly believe that a transformative journey like yoga should commence with utmost clarity. Our commitment to your well-being and growth motivates us to set forth these policies for the protection and support of all seekers who join our organization.

By enrolling with us, you signify your willingness to embrace and honour Kashish Yoga's policies, rules, and terms and conditions. Together, let us create a nurturing and inclusive community that serves and uplifts all yogis and yoginis.

Why so many Rules & Regulations or Terms & Conditions???

Kashish Yoga is a centre of learning. We have people coming from across the globe to receive the wealth of Spiritual, Yogic and Ayurvedic Knowledge.

Among several other reasons, there are two key aspects of having exhaustive ground rules.

  1. Unless discipline is established, we humans tend to procrastinate, stall, defer, take things lightly and simply waste all efforts, time, investment and resources. This statement applies more strongly when it comes to walking on a Spiritual Path. Thus, we as a yogic organisation feel responsible to establish certain policies in writing so that you remain grounded and make best use of the time here.

[Fun Fact: More than 90% participants have mentioned that these ground rules made them stick to the path of learning and prevented them from diversions]

  2. “One rotten apple spoils the whole barrel”. We are responsible to protect everyone from that one or two such participants. For one or two such people who are not ready to receive the higher knowledge, YOU SHOULD NOT SUFFER.

[Fun Fact: Out of 7000 participants till date, we had to use the rules against only 16 such participants.]

Hence, its mandatory to be aware, acknowledge, agree, accept, and adhere to the following Rules, Regulations, Terms and Conditions. The same is also on our website.

With love and light,

The Kashish Yoga Team

I am a seeker, I am a yogi, I am aware and, therefore, I further agree that…

1. PARTICIPATION AND 100% ATTENDANCE

……I understand that a minimum of 80% attendance is compulsory, and that my certification is partly based on my attendance. I accept that if my attendance is found to be lower, Kashish Yoga holds the right to issue me only a certificate of participation rather than the Yoga Teacher Training Course Certificate (which shall not be valid on Yoga Alliance).

…I agree that the teacher has the right to deny me entry into the class if I am late.

…If I miss a class due to any personal health reasons, I will inform the office or the class teacher. I will also diligently follow up with the notes from my classmates and self-practice.

…I will sign the attendance sheet, (if any) on every class honestly and diligently.

2. RESPECT & GRATITUDE

…I commit to showing respect and gratitude to the management, entire staff, teachers, my fellow mates, and the retreat space.

…I understand that in India, the role of a teacher or guru is held in the highest regard, and any form of disrespect towards them is unacceptable.

…I will maintain a positive, open, curious, team-oriented, optimistic, and trusting attitude throughout the course.

…Should I be found behaving disruptively, rudely, or negatively, or engaging in complaining or manipulative behaviour or manipulative cliquing or groupism, or discrimination (the decision and judgement of which, solely lies with the management and teachers), I acknowledge and accept that the management has the right and duty to immediately remove me from the course, school accommodation and premises without any refund of fees. (This is to maintain a peaceful atmosphere at the school and protect the learning environment of my co-students as well).

…I understand that during my course I will study with different teachers. I understand that each teacher comes with their own knowledge, wisdom, and experience. I shall refrain from comparison between teachers and uphold my mission of learning from all. I understand that requests such as changing of teachers, having private classes, change of classes, or course transfers due to personal preferences will not be entertained. However, I may discuss my thoughts with the office administration, and I accept that Kashish Yoga holds the final decision.

…I am always welcome to discuss any issue with the management. Furthermore, I respect the privacy of the Management Team and will not contact them at odd hours unless there is an emergency.

…I agree to always behave courteously with local vendors, shopkeepers, and tuk-tuk drivers. I understand that any misbehaviour reported to the school may result in the withholding of my certificate.

3. HYGEINE AND CULTURAL RESPECT

…I shall follow complete hygiene and keep the rooms, common areas, yoga halls and surroundings clean. For example, disposing off used tissues, and placing recyclables in appropriate bins, washing off my used utensils and return them to their place, etc. I shall also refrain from using strong scented products of any kind at Kashish Yoga, out of respect for those with sensitivities.

…I understand that Yoga is very sacred and respectful profession in India. Further, a school – “the centre of learning” is nothing less than a temple of worship. I will maintain respect for the space and not indulge in any acts of obscenity or public indecency.

4. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

…I shall take care of my own belongings and am wholly and exclusively responsible for their safety and security. I shall not hold the Kashish Yoga responsible for any loss of my personal belongings.

…I acknowledge that if I leave any personal belongings behind after checkout, and I want them shipped back to me, there will be a service charge for packaging and shipping. Alternatively, I can collect them in person within 30 days of my check-out. After 30 days, Kashish Yoga reserves the right to discard the items.

5. EVALUATION & CERTIFICATION

…I commit to completing all the requirements, including submitting all my assignments and exam papers on or before the submission date. Failure to do so will result in my not being entitled to receive a certificate upon the completion of the course.

…I acknowledge that Kashish Yoga reserves the right to set my evaluation criterion to decide whether, I am fit to be awarded the certificate or not. The criterion may be common for my group or exclusive for myself. Further, Kashish Yoga reserves complete discretion to decide whether, I am eligible for being awarded the certificate or not. The discretion to show the answer scripts, evaluation sheets and all evaluation related papers are also under complete discretion of Kashish Yoga.

6. HEALTH AND PERSONAL CHOICE

…I embrace the opportunity to grow, both physically and mentally, through this challenging teacher training course. I will take great pride and joy in the way I handle all demanding situations without complaints.

…I acknowledge that while practicing yoga, it is only me who can be aware as to what is my body limit and when am crossing the same. I need to respect my body and my limitations. I will not be influenced by comparisons with others or shall not push myself beyond limits. I will listen to my body and keep it 100% safe.

…I alone am fully responsible for my transforming body and mind, and I will lovingly care for it to avoid all injuries, accidents, or physical or psychological health-related issues that might occur during my training period. I take full responsibility for my own health, physical and mental well-being, and any injuries or accidents that may occur during the course. I will not hold Kashish Yoga or any of the teaching, administrative, or management staff responsible.

…I agree to fully declare all my recent injuries or illnesses prior to beginning the course in the medical form. I acknowledge that Kashish Yoga is not responsible for any medical emergencies.

…I agree to provide an existing, legitimate, and valid emergency contact in the "About Me" form as part of completing my registration.

…I agree to clearly declare all my dietary requirements. I understand that Kashish Yoga will do its best to provide alternatives, but if they do not match my preferences, I will arrange my own food at my own expense. I agree not to bring any non-vegetarian food (including eggs) onto the premises.

7. FEES AND ENERGY EXCHANGE

…The fees and payment structure discussed with me before joining the course will not be altered in any way except in the case of any upgrades. I will ensure to pay the 100% fees on at the time of arrival before check-in to my room or beginning of classes or opening ceremony whichever is earlier. Failure to do so may result in my removal from the course and not provide any accommodation or classes without any refund.

…I am grateful for all the inclusions mentioned in my course investment. If I find myself dissatisfied, I am free to make my own arrangements at my own cost without any refunds.

…I have the freedom to leave the course at any time before its conclusion for any reason, personal or otherwise. In such a case, I understand that I am not entitled to any refund of fees.

…I accept that everything I have agreed upon with Kashish Yoga is an individual contract. The fees and services provided are unique and cannot be compared with that of any other student in any course.

…I fully acknowledge, accept, and agree to the fact that refund of any amount shall not be provided under any circumstances. Including but not limited to even any force majeure condition like Act of God, Act of Government, Act of pandemic like Covid or any other situation. In any circumstances, or conditions, or any dissatisfaction from my side, or if I am sent out of school due to non-compliance of any of the rules or regulations or terms and conditions or any situation of any sort, I am not entitled to any refund under any circumstances.

…I acknowledge that my check-out time is 11:00 AM. I understand that late check-out is subject to prior permission, availability and at the sole discretion of Kashish Yoga management. If I share a guest’s room, use services, or keep the room occupied after 11:00 AM, I agree to be charged at a rate of €40 per day.

…I understand that if I wish to join any classes after my check-out or after completing my course, a separate fee will apply. As an alumnus of Kashish Yoga, I will receive a 15% discount on such classes.

8. COMMUNITY LIVING AND LEARNING

…I understand that at Kashish Yoga, I would embrace the practice of co-listening and conscious communication techniques. I acknowledge that these valuable tools are thoughtfully integrated to encourage meaningful interactions among students and staff throughout the training. I shall engage with these methods in a spirit of openness and understanding.

…I understand that as we delve into the practice of yoga and embrace intimate community living, we recognize that increased energy levels can sometimes be misunderstood as romantic feelings. I would refrain from pursuing new romantic relationships during the duration of this program. My focus will be on fostering a supportive and focused learning environment, and romantic and/or sexual distractions may hinder my progress. Additionally, I agree that all physical intimacy shall be reserved for private spaces, such as individual rooms, to respect the privacy and comfort of all participants and team members.

…I understand that Kashish Yoga profoundly values open and honest communication during my sessions. Hence, I am encouraged to share relevant thoughts, questions, feelings, and insights with the group when appropriate. I also acknowledge that there may be time boundaries set by the teacher to ensure a smooth and balanced learning experience for everyone. I am aware that should I wish to discuss any matter on a personal level, I may seek permission and time outside the class, subject to availability.

…I understand that multiple different courses may run at the same time on the premises. Even if I feel misaligned with a particular class scheduled in my course, I agree that I do not have the freedom to join another course or class on my own. I will remain committed to my assigned classes and complete my course diligently. Should I want to change my course or classes, it can only be done after approval from the office and payment of change fees (The extra fees, if any, shall be determined by the office at the time of the request placed for the change).

… I understand that I am living in nature at Kashish Yoga. The whole place is built with eco-friendly materials and in a natural environment, which is basically home to all other children of nature such as (frogs, ants, lizards, and others). It is not they in my home but me in theirs!! Hence, I shall accept the environment with open heart and should I face any issue, I shall discuss in the office rather than panic or get frustrated.

…I understand that Kashish Yoga has its own pets, and I agree not to bring any stray or outside animals into the premises. I will not bring or keep any personal pets at Kashish Yoga.

10. KASHISH YOGA STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY AGREEMENT

…I understand that Religion and Spirituality are two different things. At Kashish Yoga, we are not being taught religion but only and only Spirituality. [For Example, Shiva is considered God for a group of people who are Hindus, but In Spirituality, “Shiva” is the embodiment of “The Supreme Consciousness”]. The practice of yoga often produces non-ordinary states of awareness, and that Kashish Yoga program instructors and staff are not responsible for managing every student’s personal needs. I understand that the 200-Hour Kashish Yoga Teacher Training curriculum has been designed to create the optimal yoga education for most students, and each specific experience may have content that differs from my beliefs. I understand that the study of yoga involves exploring and discussing different belief systems and religions. I agree to respect all the ideas and practices that are presented as part of the 200-Hour Kashish Yoga Teacher Training curriculum. I understand that Kashish Yoga is not requiring me to change my beliefs or religion in any way to be certified as a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).

…I agree to adhere to the Indian culture and Indian principles. In India, teachers or gurus are considered to be superior than Divine Himself. They are present to help me learn and understand the ancient art and science of Yoga. They are exclusively and only available for imparting learning and education. The team members of Kashish Yoga are also there to support me along this journey of knowledge. I understand that both the teachers and the support team are not present for developing any kind of personal friendship and/or alternate romantic relationship. If I am found approaching any teacher or team member of Kashish Yoga in any unprofessional manner or found roaming around with the teachers outside the school, I agree to be subject to disqualification from the course and expulsion from the school. The only exception to this is if the entire batch is inviting all the teachers for a (non-alcoholic) meal outside at the school at the end of the course.

11. SUBSTANCE USE

12. TRADEMARKS, COPYRIGHTS OR PROMOTIONS

…I understand that the name “Kashish Yoga” is a registered trademark of the firm Kashish Yoga and its owner, who holds the legal right and responsibility to control its use for maintaining the integrity of its teachings. Certified teachers may refer to Kashish Yoga as their source of yoga training in promotional materials.

Successful completion of the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification will be determined solely by the Kashish Yoga School based on the demonstrated command of teaching skills and meeting the stated requirements. Any complaint about unethical behaviour by a Kashish Yoga teacher will be thoroughly investigated by the Director of the Kashish Yoga School.

Certified students from Kashish Yoga found to have violated the Kashish Yoga Code of Ethics may have their certification revoked or face other conditions regarding the use of the Kashish Yoga name. Students in the training program are required to adhere to the program guidelines as outlined in the Enrolment Agreement, Kashish Yoga Student Responsibility Agreement, and Kashish Yoga Teachers Ethics Agreement. Compliance with these requirements ensures safety and maintains a professional atmosphere. Failure to adhere may result in denial of certification.

…I am aware that The Kashish Yoga School does not discriminate based on race, colour, religion, national origin, gender, age, marital status, disability, or sexual preference.

… I acknowledge and expressly agree that Kashish Yoga may take photos or videos during classes and at other times for assessment, evaluation, or to publish on their website, social media, and other platforms so as to promote the benefits of participating in its programs and activities. Whenever these activities are happening, I can tell Kashish Yoga staff that I do not want to participate or move to a place in the room that is not being photographed or recorded. Otherwise, I hereby consent to being the subject of any photographs or audio/video recordings made during my stay by Kashish Yoga staff, and grant permission for these to be published or posted in ways that promote Kashish Yoga Schools.

13. GOING OUT AND VISITORS

…I understand that I am free to go out of the campus at any time. However, I will sign the security registers when departing and returning. If I plan to stay out overnight, I will inform a member of the school team to ensure my safety and to avoid causing any concern.

…I understand that I am allowed to bring visitors to the campus to show them around or invite them to classes or meals.
