    Practicing, learning or teaching yoga in any style, from anywhere will invite peace, happiness, health and prosperity into your life.

  • WHAT QUALITIES DO I NEED TO BE A YOGA TEACHER?

    You just need a good heart, rest we will build in you.

  • IS 24 DAYS ENOUGH TO BECOME A YOGA TEACHER?

    Honestly no! Yoga requires years and years of practice and you will see yourself evolving every single day. TTC is like planting a seed in your mind which will emerge as a huge tree as the time passes. The only thing you need is to nourish the seed every day. How good and evolved a teacher you become, depends on the kind of commitment you show towards it even after you leave Kashish Yoga.

    Remember that when you will be teaching and helping others, the knowledge that you will get is more valuable than years of practicing and studying.

  • WHAT ARE THE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AFTER COMPLETING A TTC?

    After completing the TTC course, you could

    • work as an independent teacher
    • open up your own studio
    • work as an assistant teacher in a big organization
    • be a part of a health & wellness/yoga retreat
    • write for an international yoga/health magazine
    • work with 5-star hotels/beach resorts as a yoga professional
    • work in gyms and fitness centres
    • work in a school as a teacher
    • be a part of an NGO/government organization/hospitals/corporates
  • CAN I TEACH YOGA OR OPEN MY OWN STUDIO WITH YOGA ALLIANCE CERTIFICATE?

    Yes, you can. Yoga Alliance is one of the biggest organizations for yoga teachers in the world. It sets highly professional standards for teaching yoga. By choosing the schools registered with Yoga Alliance, you are eligible to teach yoga or open up your own studio anywhere across the world.

  • WHAT IS THE DAILY SCHEDULE FOR THE COURSE?

  • DO I NEED A PRIOR KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE OF YOGA BEFORE JOINING TTC?

    It is always good if you have some previous experience in the form of practice. It instantly puts you at ease and comfort. Having said that, it isn’t mandatory. We will guide you at all levels whether you are a beginner, at an intermediate level or a practitioner. The urge to learn is of prime importance.

  • I AM NOT VERY FLEXIBLE AND CANNOT DO MANY ASANAS, CAN I STILL JOIN THE COURSE?

    Yes, all bodies are not created equal, so you are not expected to be able to do all the postures. Modifications are given/taught for all levels of asanas. The whole purpose of yoga is to enable you to become fit and flexible – physically and mentally.

  • IS THE COURSE TAUGHT IN ENGLISH?

    Yes.

  • WHAT IS YOUR REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY?

    Please note that no fees (whether paid in partial or full) will be refundable. In case the student decides to leave the course after the payment of the deposit or the full fees due to any reason, they will not be entitled to any refund of the fees paid.

    They shall have the option to continue the course at a future date (within a period of 6 months) from where they left off. However, no requests for refunds will be entertained for the cancellation of the course at any time.

  • WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM INTAKE OF STUDENTS?

    25 students in a 200-hour course and 10 students in a 300-hour course.

  • WHAT IF I MISS SOME CLASSES?

    Unless you have a serious illness or a medical emergency, you are expected not to miss any classes. If you do, you will be given make up assignments which will be determined by the teacher(s).

  • DO YOU PROVIDE STUDY MATERIALS/MANUAL?

    Yes, we do provide a welcome kit equipped with a manual, 1 kriya set,1 notepad, 1 pen. However, we suggest you to bring additional note books and stationeries for your use.

  • ARE FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

    All meals (except on Sundays) are included in the course fee. The difference in prices are only subject to the type of accommodation chosen.


PREPARE YOUR TRIP

  • VISA FOR INDIA?

    You will need a tourist visa. Some countries have visa on arrival, which is valid for one month. In other cases, you will need to apply to the Indian Embassy of your country. Make sure you apply at least one month before your travel date, because in some countries the process of getting the visa can be longer. You will have a tourist visa for 3 or 6 months.

    You may also apply a e-tourist visa. The processing time is usually 2 weeks and the visa is granted online. The duration of the visa is for 2 months from the date of your arrival in India. THIS IS QUICK AND EASY PROCESS.

    Please be careful of fake websites that advertise Indian visa. The link above is with the extension .gov which stands for government.

  • DO I NEED TO TAKE MEDICINES WITH ME?

    We would advise you not carry a lot of medicines. Everything in India is available and at a lesser price too. Just carry the medicines which you use regularly. We have a first aid kit and a doctor is always nearby!

  • CAN I CARRY ELECTRONICS WITH ME?

    We advise you to carry your laptop for assignments and summaries.

    We offer 24 hours Wi-Fi free of cost. However, please note that the connection may not be as strong as it is in the West.

  • WHAT KIND OF CLOTHES SHOULD I CARRY?

    • Light and comfortable cotton clothes for yoga practice
    • A pair of white clothes for ceremonies
    • Swimming suit
    • One piece of light warm apparel (jumper). You may require it in the night or early morning
    • Shawl (in case you feel cold or in order to avoid getting disturbed by mosquitoes during meditation practice)
  • WHAT TO BRING TO THE TTC?

    • 2 photos
    • 2 photocopy of passport visa
    • Note book and pen (we also provide)
    • Alarm clock
    • Torch
    • Slipper and sport/comfortable shoes
    • Mosquito repellent
    • Water bottle (also available with us)
    • Toiletries
    • Sun screen
    • An umbrella during the monsoons (September-October)
  • WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO REACH GOA?

    Goa is easily accessible by plane, train and bus.

    Dabolim International Airport (GOI) is the closest airport and is approximately 90 minutes away by taxi. GOI Airport is well connected by daily flights from Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Cochin and Bangalore.

    You can also reach Patnem by train. The nearest station is in Canacona, although main train services stop at Margao station (approximately one hour away).

    Canacona bus stand is 15 minutes from our school and buses from Mumbai and Bangalore are available for Canacona.

  • CAN I BOOK AN AIRPORT PICK UP THROUGH YOU?

    Your airport shuttle pick-up is included in the package. The shuttle will run 3 times on the day of the beginning of your course at 8 AM, 12 PM and 4 PM.

    Should the above not match with your time and date of arrival, then you may choose to request for a special pickup from us for 25 EUR additional.

  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET TO THE BEACH?

    You are free to use the Ashram’s bicycles for a gentle ride to the Palolem beach in just 10 minutes. You can also hire a moto (tuk-tuk) to enjoy the freedom to easily visit further afield.

  • IS IT SAFE TO DRINK THE WATER?

    It is not recommended that you drink tap water anywhere in India. At Kashish Yoga, we provide filtered water at all times.

  • DO YOU PROVIDE A LAUNDRY SERVICE?

    Kashish Yoga does provide a laundry service for a small fee.

  • DO THE BATHROOMS HAVE SHOWERS WITH HOT WATER?

    We do have hot water available. However, since the weather is not too cold in Goa, the same is not required very frequently and hence, it is not mixed in the shower. It is available separately from the two geysers installed in the common area from where you can fill up the hot water in your bucket and take it to your room.

  • WHERE CAN I WITHDRAW AND EXCHANGE MONEY?

    There are several ATM machines in Chawdi. Also, plenty of travel agents and money exchange places in Patnem and Palolem are available. We too, can help you with the currency exchange.

  • SHOULD I BRING MONEY WITH ME?

    We recommend you carry enough cash for your travel expenses. There are a lot of ATMs and money changers nearby. If you are carrying your own currency, you can exchange it in Goa airport or in Patnem or Chawdi. The exchange rate is better in the market than at the airport. We too, can help you with the currency exchange.

  • DO I NEED VACCINATIONS?

    Vaccines are not compulsory but advised. You have to consult with your doctor about the vaccines that you need to take before coming to India. You can find details on the below links:

  • IS THERE A TRAIN THAT PASSES NEARBY?

    There is a train track close by that passes from the heart of the city. You can hear the sound of the train from everywhere you go. It is not bothersome during the day and in the classes as we teach you to practice internalizing despite external distractions. However, if the sound bothers you at night, you can use ear plugs for your comfort.
